Nippon Rika is a global leader in mica-based insulation materials for motors and generators. In North America, we support OEMs and repair facilities with advanced mica tapes and insulation materials designed for high-voltage applications. Our portfolio supports VPI and Resin Rich technologies, traction motors, and demanding thermal classes, drawing on more than a century of materials expertise and in-house mica paper production.

Nippon Rika provides complete insulation system solutions for high-voltage rotating machinery. This includes system design support, VPI resin technologies such as the Rika-FINE™ system, and access to comprehensive electrical testing and validation capabilities. Our approach combines materials, process knowledge, and verification methods to ensure long-term performance, consistency, and compliance with international standards for motors and generators.

Through the Nippon Rika Group - including Micamation (Switzerland), Vincent Industrie (France), and Bartech Machinery (Canada) - we supply specialized machinery and automation solutions for HV coil and bar component manufacturing. This includes taping, forming, bending, pressing, Roebel bar production, and VPI-related equipment. Nippon Rika Inc. serves as the North American interface, coordinating projects, technical alignment, and long-term support.

We provide a broad range of supporting components and advanced insulation parts used in motors and generators. This includes manufactured items such as FRP air guides, wedges, insulation caps, and other critical insulation-related components, as well as selected supporting and traded materials required around the insulation system.
